This scam is taking up way too much time. Hope there is a hell of a payoff.
Agreed. Any other show, it would be called filler. Didn’t need a full episode to resolve the cabbie making him.

With that said, I think this was an ode to Slipping Jimmy and those that love his crazy schemes. And I do enjoy the crazy schemes these writers come up with. This felt like one for the road…

because of all the money laundering and the scams he did with skyler.

Again, he shredded everything that had a financial connection. Plus, Skyler is in the clear. There's nothing of proof because everything was shredded. No more a paper trail.

I can't even say I wasn't feeling it, I was thoroughly entertained.

But....

This sums up how I feel.

If this episode....the writing....directing....the level of planning the writers took, to map out robbing a department store....was on any other show this would be considered 10/10.
But this show is constantly operating at such a high level "I wasn't expecting that" is the worst people can say. :mjlol:

Fred,

Nah, this episode was wack :yeshrug:

All those people clamoring for all-Gene episodes got what they wanted....and it was a let down. It's going to be brutal if the remaining three episodes are "Schemin' Gene".
Random as fukk to put this episode here compared to where the last episode ended. Unless Marion or Jeff turn out to be undercover FBI agents, this episode made zero sense to air on Monday night.
It's always funny to me how some of y'all are willing to sit thru this simple, well-crafted show that's about a con artist and his schemes, addiction, his relationship with his brother and wife, etc. just so you can get occasional hits of guns and gangsters and "shocking" twists. Undercover agents? Come on ... :mjlol:

Some of y'all have truly disliked half this show from the very beginning. And sure - the show's not for everybody. But the hits of Gus and Mike and the Salamanca's must be reeaaalll strong to keep that crowd around.

Not great, but I feel like the things that happened in this episode will somehow come back into play towards the end. Maybe Carol Burnett ultimately brings Jimmy down. Could be wrong…but I wonder what “bad crowd” was her son mixed up with in Albuquerque?
