Arp never tried to become the #1 league at no point with RBE though, he's always stated URL has been the top league, even with the lawsuit that was going on.

Rbe was fine because they were mostly feeding off of guys who weren't on good terms with URL or doing battles that URL just wouldn't do in general due to politics

ARP was definitely competing.
He never snatched the #1 spot, because he couldn’t brand and introduce new talent, which is what differentiated URL/KOTD/QOTR from everyone else. He tried numerous times and failed.
Battle rap is in a better space when those three leagues were thriving, because they had the capability to introduce new talent.
If he could have identified talent, he would have had the number one spot.
There is no new talent. No new cac talent, female talent, etc.
The talent doesn’t even need to be stars, but you need solid b side guys to create fresh matchups.
