I agree 100%. Can';t give these battlers any more reason to slack during a fukking pandemic. I mean damn, at least we should hold them accountable for how they perform for these quarantine battles.

unless it's Lux. if Lux loses in a quarantine battle I'll give him a pass :troll: He needs to be in the mountains to prepare :troll:

I'm sayin'. Bro, Suge was reading off his bars for Jerry Wess to Cortez, bro. So we just gonna not count that L? Because its Cortez? Because its a Quarantined battle? No, it was front of SMACK, it was on the SMACK URL platform, and it was an official release. shyt counts. Bad enough we have that it doesn't count if nots on URL bullshyt...no we have fans making up excuses for "well, if its not a big event, it don't count" shyt? Oh no no no no. This count and don't count shyt officially is outta hand if this is the case.

Tomorrow isn't promised. There may not be a "real event" for who knows how long bro. 5 months ago who would've guessed we'd be here? A year from now the whole world may be shut down for something else. We don't know anymore. They gotta get what they can get.

And while I definitely prefer settings with fans, I'm really over large crowd battles. Events with a lot of people almost always come out lackluster. I think Volume settings are the best kinda PPVs. What we have now is probably closer to that, than stage battles, which is why I probably enjoy them.

Yep, you right....tomorrow isn't promised for anyone.
I mean muthafukkas gotta pay attention to history; its similar but not exact to shyt that done happened before. Damn near 100 years ago, barely anyone to no one was alive when that pandemic with the Spanish Flu was poppin' off and Woodrow Wilson's racist ass ignored it because he wanted to get it in with money the U.S. economy made from World War I. It took someone on his council to basically run up on and tell him to man up and handle this shyt because muthafukkas were dying left and right. So yeah....you right.

As far as battle rap, I won't say I am over the large crowds. But if this shyt is airborne, ends up on materials, and is mutating...I don't think we have the right to be like nah fukk that. Either work with what the game can give you for the moment or leave. Either way, humanity in all forms of industries, especially something like battle rap that requires human interaction, have to adjust.

If you step on ANY stage / platform and spit ya bars IT COUNTS

All this “it doesn’t count” shyt was used by battlers and their stans to use their popularity and schedule to deflect when their losses kept getting brought up.

Shyt has ALWAYS been corny and wack AF

You took the damn battle, whatever happens after a that COUNTS

I don’t give a FUKK about what happened outside of the battle. That’s nunna my or anyone’s business except for the leagues doin BUSINESS with them.

Fans simply feel entitled to information that’s nunna their business

I mean, hell if the league counted out the money to pay the battlers....then you know it fa sho counts. We talk business in battle rap so much we forget, it has to count when them numbers and that money comes up; I don't even like bringing it up but its true. I know they counted the money when they got these guys to agree to time limits and etc.

Question:

What stopping leagues from running the format the old jungle used to run, which is meet at a park and have a sizable crowd just for reaction?

big crowds serve a purpose though, that energy is something else. Just think summer madness 2. I still want big events (Obviously not now of course)

No doubt. It’s hard to imagine Tay Roc’s seat belt moment without that crowd. However, the over reliance is really making a lot of these guys cheat the fans.

like Bill Collector said, you got dudes writing 1 minute rounds and running the same bars back 4 times if one person in the crowd burps :laff:

In this area, something definitely had to give. I'm with you on that.

I dig it but outside of Summer Madness 2, which was 8 years ago, you could probably count on 1 hand the amount of big events that ended up being good.
