I got faith in beloved of course but Surf is a sneaky muthafukka, man. He could lose in the battle, metaphor the shyt with basketball, and his die hard fans will eat it up and never give him a complete L. I'm just sayin'....we gotta be prepared. Lol.

I don't see Lux fukking this up. He knows better. I think Surf is getting the fukk up outta there without the gas and antics.

I hope so, man. I prefer the talent that works hard not the talent that half asses it, talks crazy about people he won't face, and makes excuses for every loss knowing he doesn't have as many wins. Nah, Surf's biggest skill is literally his performance and crowd control on big stages. Nobody thinks Surf raps better than Lux, so having them in a small room is essentially wasting a Surf battle, at least from a competitive standpoint. Under normal circumstances financially too, same with Lux, you wouldn't see either of them in a Volume if it wasnt for the pandemic or some other weird circumstance (like Surf being locked up and missing a battle, then battling Reed in a small room to make up for taking the deposit).

On a big stage Surf can beat Lux, especially if Lux isn't direct again, in the building, because no one in the crowd has the ability to rewind Lux's verses. Small room, Surf probably has no chance. Lux is winning on cam regardless as long as he doesn't choke.

A lotta Battlerap fans won’t admit it,
But overreactive crowds really hindered the progress of battlers in terms of skill.

These IG battles have shown how there is a difference between
Battlers that write like there are no crowds with a crowd in mind
vs
Battlers that write like there is a crowd there reacting along to what they spit.

The DVDera battlers over time had to adjust to having their momentum interrupted by crowds)
(We all know crowds were always there, but they wouldn’t interrupt battlers EVERY 4 bars.)

The generations after them are just used to these crowds being there to gass em by default.

One thing I love about these IG battles, is how we get to hear battlers just go and get they bars OFF
