Lol of course its due to the pandemic, no event on a grand scale will go down in NY for a minute....the Vol might be permitted in Ny maybe....if they keep the room even smaller then normal

I gotcha...but I feel like in damn near every category Lux is still miles and miles ahead of Surf. The only thing that Lux may not have in his pocket that Surf does is the weird politics and stardom. And even at that, Lux isn't far off from obtaining that.
But I digress, Surf could pull an upset and show the fukk up. Its not like Lux hasn't had a slip or two.

But overreactive crowds really hindered the progress of battlers in terms of skill.
These IG battles have shown how there is a difference between
Battlers that write like there are no crowds with a crowd in mind
vs
Battlers that write like there is a crowd there reacting along to what they spit.
The DVDera battlers over time had to adjust to having their momentum interrupted by crowds)
(We all know crowds were always there, but they wouldn’t interrupt battlers EVERY 4 bars.)
The generations after them are just used to these crowds being there to gass em by default.
One thing I love about these IG battles, is how we get to hear battlers just go and get they bars OFF
