I could have sworn that was mentioned before that Debo was in a group back in the day. Now Uncle Ra…that’s a different story but I could he got down back in the 90s.

Lol I remember them. They were part of that Beatnuts, Fat Joe, Strictly Roots, etc... Hip Hop scene. They all used to shout each other out on records.

waitaminute…these guys?

Oh yeah Rap City would play this video off and on. I remember this. I always wondered what happened to this group.

Yep.

Fat Joe shouts them out and Mesanjars of Funk at the end. Deebo's group was a pretty known underground act in the early 90s.

Swave was also part of a group in the early 90s that had a slight buzz. So was Head Ice. I'm trying to remember the names.

I remember seeing the name Mesanjars Of Funk but down south, I don't think I ever saw their records in stores. I feel like I saw their video maybe once but never again. Weirdly enough, I think I had that Begs No Friends single on tape; I know I saw it in Tower Records when they were in their prime.

Hollow was TRASH for the most part with hella dry spots.....The Hells Angel jacket joke & the UPS setup/line was the best shyt he said the whole night. I never cared for Hollow besides the Big T battle. Hollow had angles and to some of y'all, broke Lux down, but the execution was piss poor. That's the difference with Hollow & Mook. Mook rehashed the angles, took it 3 steps further and showed the level on how it was suppose to be done.

Exactly what I've been saying about the Clips battle for years. He had a phenomenal breakdown of Clips and one or two other good spots surrounded by air balls and trash.

Debo from QOTR got bars?
He was in this hip hop group in the early 90's.

They were a Latino Das Efx/Naughty. Never got any traction. Probably got signed on affiliation.
