He’s just enjoying the attention, which can be addictive. Just think about it, he probably hasn’t gotten attention like this since the prime diplomat days. Even in those days, there were more popular guys on the “b team” like JR Writer and Hell Rell.

Cassidy loved the attention as well. If Cas actually won his battles, I really think he would be more active in the culture.

Battle rap allows these guys to get attention, that they haven’t gotten in years.

The last two people he stood in front of are both very straightforward lyricists who Surf didn’t have to do much to match wits with (Geechi, Reed). Lux is a phenom with the pen who can angle/embarrass opponents too (Calicoe, Clips, etc.)

I’m not really sure what Surf can do to him. He probably shoulda taken JC just to test his limits against a pen guy. Then again, getting bodied by JC coulda hurt his stock.

Surf gotta talk less shyt and prove more why he should be worth a damn in the ring. No more hiding behind stardom and connects. Lux may be the only person who can clearly get him the fukk outta here. I hope

Joe Budden’s second against Hollow. He had some crazy lines that round. The easy Staples joint, the Blanca bar, Sleepy Hollow, breaking down Hollow’s career, 84 draft/Dream bar. He had a lot in that round. His delivery just was bad.
