You've watched battle rap long enough to know how grimy & petty it can get. They put themselves in the line of fire, unfortunately this is the type of thing that comes with battle rap celebrity.
Champion is a professional looking platform but battle rap is still a very grimy place. That dude Dutch KIB covered battle rap for YEARS and you see how dirty he got done.

Respect to Snake Eyez, he is putting in work and trying to carve out his space in the game.

Seems to me like the easiest way for him to be successful is for him to be an egomaniacal heel. He has to promo himself, he has to come up with gimmicks that aren't corny, and he has to be good enough to make people want to shut him up.

At some point he will have to battle Ave or Brizz, that will be scary.

I said a while ago Snake Eyez got somethin' to his style bro. Just need to keep workin' and buildin'.

Never thought I'd be saying this in 2020. But I'd like to see more Clips. Hes been steadily improving. Had some great moments against Twork. Had a lowkey classic with Math. Was entertaining on Summer Impact, and went viral with the Pharah body. Seems like he's having fun again

Give him Geechi let's see if he's really serious. Geechi is going to attack his character and agitate him enough for Clips to be able to lock in. Usually when someone gets under Clips skin he starts destroying them, the Lux battle may be the only exception. Plus Geechi went on social media to say the Eminem disses were wack, we know that bothered his co-worker Hitman at the least.

One thing about Clips though, I noticed...nikkas can spin a narrative on him and he is good with keeping it movin'. Clips dealt with some street shyt but is still that dude you can joke and clown with...so you really have to give him credit for with his wit. When he was not giving us 3rds, I was not feelin' that shyt. Geechi, however, studies everybody which makes him so dangerous. Like Geechi...you can tell he is one of them dudes that will get high watching some Discovery channel shyt and learn something crazy remembering what the show was about. No matter who he battles, he knows how to be himself and cater to his opponent well enough to get a win. However, I do agree with some fans...he needs to slow down on some the battles. Let some of that footage simmer and get back to it. I'd like to see them battle.

I don't blame JC for saying what he said and how he said it. If he was quiet about it, I'd wonder.
It's way better than ducking and claiming a whole bunch of other reasons to not battle folks.
