Chess has been dope, I won't deny it. I haven't seen everything, but unless we're doing that "only URL counts" fakkity shyt, I think Danny is #1 right now. He has like a dozen battles, including 3 in 8 days, 2 of which are BOTY contenders, and the only ROUNDS he clearly lost were the choke and round 3 vs. Dizaster. Geechi is probably in there somewhere, as is Math if he gets Jones out of here Saturday. How many battles has Chess had? . Basketball players are judged on the NBA playoffs, Boxers are judged on the 4 main belts, tennis players are judged on the Majors. If you wanna be regarded as a topboy in battlerap only one stage counts. I don't make the rules, it is what it is. Spitting fire on Gunz N Butta Battle League & the like is great and all but ultimately doesn't move the needle. SMACK gives Danny plates so it's not like he hasn't had the opportunity.2) Danny doesn't spit like Chess and the other elite pens. even being able to come in on 2 weeks prep and deliver vs loaded hollows, to the point there are a lot of people giving gunz and cake the win was remarkable
i dont see how anyone doesnt have chess at the forefront for coty. you can make a little argument for jc simply because he washing mid tiers back to back, but chess shaking big rooms and making classics, although jc did beat glu, mike p and cortez they on smaller levels.
