People can call the business shady, shyt on the battle rappers. And shotty etc can try to appeal to the emotions of the public for support, but being one who has worked behind the scenes on events for years, this is literally just the business. Honestly , they are fortunate they got their deposits back. If you book Rihanna, you book her on the risk she could cancel and that deposit is usually always non refundable. This IS the business and small league or not they better get accustomed to it. The truth is, URL is a bigger and better look for their brand and they all likely took opportunities with them over whatever you had to offer. As an artist you are encouraged to take the best opportunities. Fans won't like it. But you know what they wouldn't have liked more? Tay Roc backing out of the loaded hollows battle to prepare for a bout with shotty horroh. Then all of the blogs would be frying roc for doing a ass backward move. Same thing with twork.
So sorry I dont feel bad, it's the risk you take, its business handle yours or get handled. They are fortunate they got deposits back. It would have cost more to get that money back through the courts and the artist could have just took off on them and let they lawyers handle it. Lawyers would have had them so tied up in litigation and going back and forth to court it would have eventually turned into a even bigger loss for them. Best for them just to move on.

I understand that, but in this business, If that artist still popping those guys coming up will usually fix it anyway. Again its business not personal. They in the UK taking this personal and they saying they goal was to get the UK battle scenes popping but they using american battle rappers to do so. At the same time while they declaring war on url they killing relationships with all american battle rappers which will equal to nobody really giving a dam about they league
If they were smart they would have just moved on and booked other battle rappers. If I'm a small league I dam near would have expected at least roc and twork to back out as soon as summer impact was announced. Url probably paying twork 3x the amount their league was so most would just screw the smaller opportunity and take the bigger one. No need to put on a battle rap tin foil and believe url is stopping these match ups, the artist themselves would make that decision as url is offering more money and a bigger opportunity.
These guys gotta stop this shyt. Does anyone really give a fukk? As a grown man, if you had money and fukked it off, why even make it public? What kind of sympathy do you expect to get? Add to this with KOTD (forgot who specifically) complaining the other week, shyt is wack. If you invest in something and it doesn’t work out.
