That or the nikka has never been around no real shyt and doesn't understand how serious life can get in situations like this. It's like all these suburban rappers that rap about a bunch of street shyt and then the first time they get jammed up (someone gets popped or robbed or something), they immediately start preaching the nonviolence gospel and alter their views and behavior (i.e. 69 catching that charge). The first time you see someone you care about leaking generally makes you think about things differently even if you remain about that shyt, not being exposed to that personally often leaves you thinking and talking like the shyt is a game and talking and joking about that stuff in a purely detached way. Ive seen both (people inured to the shyt and reacting like the way you described or people that haven't actually been exposed to real shyt and being all cavalier about real situations because they've never actually lost people to the shyt out here or haven't been impacted directly by it themselves).

I won't ever claim to be from the hood because I did grow up in a working class neighborhood; mostly white and black but you had little bit of a mix of asian, hispanic, and middle eastern folks around, too. Wasn't rich like that nor were we on some poverty shyt either. But we used to get kids from the other side of town that moved into my neighborhood who came from the hood to stay with family or whatnot to keep out of trouble. Or it was some school zoning issue and etc. Some of the kids I knew would try to be street from that influence themselves. Not saying this about anyone we're talking about (it is a bit off from the subject) but I always found it odd personally because nikkas was getting either hurt, killed, or locked up for wanting to pretend they were from those streets and wound up believing it so much. And another part of it, nikkas get bored in the burbs and want to create drama for themselves they never needed in the first place.

i hate to be the one selling bean pies out here but i hate when people fight at battle rap cards

it's literally a venue to disrespect someone to the nth degree
cops dont like large gatherings centered around rap, period
venue owners might not let a card happen again

maybe they were a few blocks away when it happened but there were enough people that the crowd would easily be linked back to the event

edit: i've been ruminating on this and after being reminded that moon had sex talk for drugz' infant daughter, my new conclusion is that drugz shoulda smacked him before BLIII even happened

Felt DME made some good points here. Especially going to different cities where they hold events. If URL ends up with situations happening more and more at their events, I could see venues not wanting to deal with battle rap; following suit of certain venues are with hip hop acts.

Every other small league event has at least the beginnings of a fight, usually squashed early. It’s annoying
