For the record I suggest everyone gets the app and support and I appreciate the battle drops and the first dibs on trailers and all that but.... the app lacks a lot.

They need to fix a lot of things. I need to be able to watch it on TV, I need to be able to listen while still surfing on my phone, the fast forward and rewind buttons need to work more efficiently, they need to allow you to handle your subscription on the app and not the website, and they need to add more content besides battles and trailers. They have A LOT to work on.

Smack really has me up at 7 am on a Sunday paying for a fukking app. We went from paying at the venues, to paying for pay per views to buying an app to watch battles before they hit youtube.

Are we battle addicts?

This is some if the best entertainment on the planet. There's no need to be ashamed anymore lol.

Besides I'm happy about not having to physically attend these battles anymore.

Which is why (besides the obvious PPV issue) I don't want to encourage the mediocrity by subscribing. I love URL, but I can't be guilt tripped into giving them free money. I don't like being that guy, but it is what it is. I'm conflicted

I get it but to me the paying the 8 dollars a month is more about supporting a brand that provided free content for years on end more than then product itself but I completely understand what you’re saying. I can’t fault anyone that’s waiting for it to provide more bang for their buck.

Yeah I noticed this back when Rum/NJT was a free battle. I’m surprised they haven’t started tackling some of these things yet.

I even thought about things like letting the emcees have their music in their profile, but they gotta take care of these basics first.

There is a lot of potential to create a great experience.

I want to, but rewarding them for half-assing is telling them it's okay. I think we know at this point that voting with your wallet is the only way to get to them.

I agree with all this but the TV issue is the biggest by far. Battles I watch on the phone are usually PGs I catch when I’m getting ready for work. I fukk with Jey and Geechi heavy, I wanna see that shyt on my expensive ass tv I bought because it has a YouTube app, so I haven’t even peeped yet. A Banned battle as a theatrical experience is even better than being there sometimes.

The buttons are too fukking small, and has anyone noticed that if you’re watching a battle when they drop a new one, it cuts off the one you’re watching and automatically puts on the new one? That’s annoying

What other content do you want tho?

Other content I wanted is documentary style highlights for battlers, extended trailers for events, exclusive interviews you can’t get anywhere else, a weekly podcast going over events happening in the culture even if they take one that’s already active and put it on there like Black Compass or HennyMan and his crew.

Serious question. Do y'all tell them this? At least give the appearance of cancelling if they don't fix the thing up? I see people here and a few other places complaining, but never saying it to them and putting any sort of pressure on them. If not, this is likely it. You know damn well Smack isn't giving whoever he got to code this thing any extra bread u less you make him. I wasn't aware the casting didn't work/exist. Deal breaker. My home theater cost a nice used car, I'm not properly enjoying a battle for the first time on my phone
