I remember that, but them showing the footage has basically nothing to do with them owning it. They could show Star Wars at an event.
Not an expert but I don't think that's how copyright works. For them to charge people to watch footage that is not owned by them they need a license from the owners. Beside that I think URL wanted to keep that battle for some VOD type shyt back then.

If the express intention if the entire event if the viewing of said footage then yes, there's an issue, but if it isn't then no there isn't. URL throwing an event and then also showing a battle has miles of wiggle room.
