They tryna model an app like the MLB’s app. Pay ~$10 monthly to watch all recorded battles. I’m hearing that live events don’t come with that, but subscribers would get discounts

That's an interesting model but I think it's pricey comparatively. You can get DAZN, Netflix, HULU etc for similar although that's comparing apples with oranges,

A $10 monthly sub with a hefty discount for paying annually (say $60) in addition to annual subscribers getting a further 50% off all PPVs (and maybe 20% off merch etc) would be a great way to build consistent reoccurring revenue and brand loyalty. Don't know how much they are committing to their technical infrastructure to truly nail this or if they'll be using an OTT white label service,

I’ve been sleeping on Champion. Started letting some episodes play today while at work. I’m currently listening to the Lux/Verb episode with Hennyman. He’s bringing up some points that I’ve been saying since this battle was announced. The crowd is going to resonate more with Verb.

I’ll put it like this. If Lux/Verb took place in the east coast, I would edge Lux. With this taking place in the south, I got Verb.

I’ve lived predominantly in the Midwest/south. I know what nyggas fukk with. Lux has to be careful with his approach, or that nygga is getting booed man.

I understand what you’re saying, but you also have to understand that these battlers have legit fans that happen to be celebs. Verb talks about hanging with celebs all the time, but he just doesn’t want to showcase it on social media. It’s not like they are helping him get a check.

Jayblac is sounding dumb in this debate. He said that Lux that battled Arsonal was better then the Verb that battled Mook.

Lux was dog shyt against Arsonal. Verb had way more quotables, and his material would have hit harder if he didn’t have to do those long ass rounds requested by Mook.

Rewatch Lux first round. His second was perhaps the worst of his career and his third was mediocre at best but that first round was tough. I didn’t hear anything valuable in the Verb-Mook battle but you’re right in the sense that I have a bias since I rarely find Verb to be good.

I know DNA is good but his style doesn't do it for me for some reason almost every time I see him battle.

To be fair to Surf, he really seems like he is truly a better recording artist than he is a battle rapper. He even said that he is into making music more than battling if I recall. I like his music but how he battles does irk the shyt out of me. One good round with another round thats ok and pretty much we may get a third or not but he might do a "Jersey" and dip. Pretty annoying, imo. The celebs do back him hard but I don't get why else they would if he keeps performing like that in battle rap.
