young, the battle rap crowd's desire to have a "moment" is ruining these battles. nikkas be so ready to chant 3-0 or scream out ad-libs from the crowd it's wack af. "Leave em alone!!" and all that bama shyt. These nikkas really ain't listening for bars, they're listening for an opening to make noise. It's really weird.

Cass is right about the psychology behind it though. Having battle rappers sitting in the front row like that was very tactical. I've never liked Goodz and I think he's extremely overrated but he's such a savvy battler.

avocado should dedicate a camera to the crowd just to see all the dudes guilty of this. it's like someone in a stadium trying and failing to start a wave but with a dumbass expression on their face
Unfortunately that's the bad part of large crowds. All it takes really is for 2 boos to set off a lot of boos. I've been live where people booed bars, not because it was bad but because the person next to them booed. Same with cheers. I've seen people lose their mind for a bar, I missed the bar and would ask the person next to me going off "What he say?" and they'd tell me "I don't know, I think he said something like..." not even knowing. nikkas just want to be heard. It's annoying but there's really nothing you can do. Any time you're in a big crowd like that, that's gonna happen
That's why I lowkey hope these PPVs turn into a streaming service, so all these battles can be recorded in small rooms where we don't have to hear crowds ruin battles replay value.
