Its not like NY or NJ is perfect either.

K Shine - started fights/chokes/no shows
Math Hoffa - started fights/chokes/no shows
Mook - hasn't battled in years and ask for crazy amounts of money so now he has more interviews than battles
Rex - recycled mixtape verses for so many battles/has pulled no shows
Arsonal - chokes/pulls out phone in the middle of the battle
Tsu Surf - talked major crazy like he was the best and got served by Aye Verb
DNA - shows up on every card but not every battle/plays politics
Clips - half asses it more than he should be
Suge - before he even recently became one of the bigger names would choke and claim he doesn't care (see Bill Collector battle)
Serius Jones - as good as he is can be delusional and causes issues
DOT - once people stopped finding him funny, the game threw him to the wolves
NuBorn - no matter how good he has gotten can't even shake the stigma that he has created for himself which is always begging for battles/lost to Sco (yeah i said it)
Cortez - either does well or poorly and no matter the fans and the game don't give him the credit he deserves

Waiting for the backlash on me and excuses for some of these to all of these on this one. I can't excuse the behaviors of all of STL but I still think they got some of the best talent in battle rap.

I don't think you're getting it. I think the St. Louis dudes are super talented as well, at their best, I prefer them to at least half your list. But the fact that all of the talent in St. Louis is simultaneously on the shaky grounds within the battle rap culture is unprecedented.

You can't say that about Detroit, Marv, Quest & Cal are all on the upswing right now. Miles is kinda washed, but he's getting looks and people are saying he beat Verb in their rematch.

Can't say that about Harlem, Head Ice & Swave on the upswing. Rex and Shine are getting talked about a lot, because they may battle.

Can't say that about Jersey, Surf might have humbled himself a little over the course of this year, but Arsonal, Serius Jones, Suge and possibly Jai are on the upswing. Plus people are raving about this Nu Jersey Twork dude.

As far as Cali talent, Daylyt and B. Dot are on the upswing.

But look at the St. Louis guys, Hitman is trending up in real life, but all those guys are trending down within battle rap.

Hitman tried to pay Suge to do the damn battle

That's as far away from "ducking" as you can get :mjlol:

AND he was taunting Suge publicly over his asking price, like he was dangling raw meat in front of an animal. :russ:
"Why should I give you 10 when you never got 8 before?" :mjlol:
"I'm giving you more than you ever made for a battle in your entire career" :lolbron::lolbron:
"You was going to take 2500 from Gracie" :russ:

He did everything in his power to make Suge feel small, we were probably going to get the best Suge ever.

:what: And the man's name is SMACK.

They blocked hitman from booking the battle for his league, money was already there, suge had the contract and everything :what: you trolling or you deadass dont know what the hell you talkin about?
Nobody wants to see that battle anywhere except on URL. It would be garbage at some random St. Louis club. Hitman is known to lie and he's repeatedly turned down good money from Smack for this battle.

URL is the biggest stage and the fact he's doing everything to NOT have the battle there says a lot

URL where it all matters but yet they block a battle TWICE and still didn't book it. Hitman was willing to negotiate and it took two bloggers on a radio show to get to the bottom of it. He's not completely innocent but SMACK URL is in this situation?

They're not innocent but they're right to block the battle in this case. The grudge match was born on URL, so why would they let another league book it and ruin it. They're not low balling Hitman, he's just overvaluing himself.

215 Uptown!
Okay I won't say he's scared but he's looking a little shaky. This would be the second time he can't out-gang or out-tough talk somebody bigger than him. You see how Calicoe did him. The way Suge is spitting Hitman can't out rap him either. When has he ever ran around in this many circles about a battle?

Hitman knows he's never getting $40k for a URL battle so he can use that angle to avoid that conflict. Mook is another world from Hitman. He beat Lux so I could never says he's afraid to battle anybody. He's been proven to be worth the money he asks for, and those are huge battles.

Stop inflating the price he's asking for. You went from 30k to 40k In 2 posts and he's not asking for either.

His asking price is around the 20k mark. Maybe a little higher. The SAME price SMACK/URL has already paid Mook and Lux.

Hitman is more popular then both mook and lux at this point. And hitman vs suge will sell more tickets then any lux match this point. Stop being delusional.

Beasley just said on Saturday his asking price is $30-40k. I'm not making up numbers, this is what he's said multiple times.

Hitman is in no way, shape, or form more popular than Mook or Lux especially in battle rap. Wild N Out fans aren't standing up 8 hours coming to see Hitman. Lux would outsell ANY Hitman battle. That's a fact.

He's not worth Mook and Lux money in St. Louis, why would Smack pay him that in New York? Especially when they've paid $7k already for a battle he never did.

Hitman got a deposit for this battle from Smack, spent it, and wants URL to pay him even more on top of that. That sound like someone in a hurry to battle Suge?

Calicoe destroyed him in one round. Looked like a school boy playing tough guy vs someone really living it. What do you think Suge is gonna do to him? Hitman will toss his little brother around for 1 round and spend the next 2 complaining and acting tough while getting his ass kicked as he always does.

Overall the Team Homi guys are actually the coolest in real life. My main knock on them, is they weren't doing enough to help each other refine their battle rap talents. But otherwise I see how battlers gravitate towards them. Plus if you come to NYC to battle and you don't need a hotel, I can imagine you can negotiate a couple more dollars, no?
If you clique up with Surf, he will constantly remind people that you are under him. Not sure if he does that in behind closed door interactions, but he sure as hell does it whenever he knows there is a camera or a mic present.

Well, you gotta think though, they never get the looks they should overall get in battle rap yet they are one of the original teams in it. I feel like they did get kind of left out of a lot of conversations in battle rap when they are the truest team around aside from SONS.

I don't think you're getting it. I think the St. Louis dudes are super talented as well, at their best, I prefer them to at least half your list. But the fact that all of the talent in St. Louis is simultaneously on the shaky grounds within the battle rap culture is unprecedented.

I left Detroit out of the convo because of that. Not too many of them have some mishaps except for a few.

Head ICE and Swave are two of my favorites so of course I can't say them. Rex and Shine battling? Yes. But have they both been on their A-game? Eh, give or take now this year.

Arsonal is about to retire it seems. Serius is redeeming himself more. Suge is still on his shyt but he took some debatable losses, imo, but not as bad as he did before. Jai is definitely on the come up I give you that

B. Dot is the homie so nothing but love for that man. Daylyt is really rapping so I give you that.

I guess my thing is, we have had nikkas fukking up if not long before or right at the same along with these guys from different regions; and I'm not even from STL but they did put the fukk on for their region. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if Hitman made a major move with Verb and some big things happened. Who knows what'll happen.

If they didn't book it right when they blocked it, they're still wrong. Matter of fact, there should be a clause for leagues blocking battles with a certain amount of days to book the battle, imo. Hitman knows what he brings to the table. Should he meet SMACK URL in the middle with what they want? Of course. But if cooler heads can't put the battle together, Hitman went and got it damn near done by himself.

Hitman needs his hometown behind him to battle Suge. Calicoe made him look like a little boy on a neutral stage, imagine what Suge would do in New York :wow:
Hitman bodied Ored in JERSEY nikka :russ:

shyt calicoe didnt say a single hot bar and he bodied Surf there that same night :dead: nobody is scared of a Jersey dude gettin gassed in NY

Charron beat Suge in NY :dead:

Honestly I hope Hitman & Verb start doing more events in St. Louis. They'd have way more leverage if they had their own Bullpen type situation. That would hurt Street Status though, so I guess they'd have to work something out.
If Street Status can afford to book Yung Ill/Verb/B Magic twice a year I'd be more than happy. But yeah, the STL guys need more leverage. Smack knows that these dude can't do a big battle without flying out to NYC. Yeah Hitman COULD have done Guerilla Warfare, but that would have turned out shyt.

What Hitman did to O-Red was just vulgar. O-Red had crept into some people's top 5's, but after the Hitman & Big T battles, it just seemed like he wasn't really ready for the big stage.
