Debo is a horrible league owner. Dude don't understand the power he has with some of those girls. He always talking bout "New talent" when the talent he has only battles twice a year.

Female battle rap is already a niche market. Promote the talent you already have that has a fanbase and stop focusing on weirdos.

all should be battling 2-3 times a year. Don't no one give a fukk about those sparring session bytches.

I knew he was dumb went he spent all that time on the west coast scouting talent.

He tries to get new girls, because he can't control his talent anymore. They are grown women now.

Female talent is much harder to come across, so for the sake of business, you have to be willing to work out any issues and compromise.

Daylyt did. Lux came with very good material but the expectations he had were sky high. Charron. I wanna say Tay Roc did the second time but I'm having a hard time remembering the battle right now. For the number of battles Charlie's had (2,788) it's a pretty small number.

@theflyest

I just started thinking about this today. I do think some people had good material for Charlie.

Big T - The problem is, some of it is hard to hear
Tay Roc - The material was good, but performance wise Roc was too respectful
B Magic - Charlie played great defense, kept stopping Magic's rhythm
X Factor - had good material Charlie rapped much longer
Loaded Lux - but his performance was just ok, and Charlie's defensive tactics were A1
Charron - he stated the obvious, but by that time Charlie was obviously on some bullshyt
Surf's material wasn't wack, he just choked his life away

Thinking about it though, a lot of big name battlers did drop the ball vs Charlie in terms of material as well. So I guess he does belong on the "hard to write for" list. Not as high as Mook or Hollow, but he's on there.

If Tay Roc were to battle Hollow on a URL big stage, he should try to "C3" him. Not bully him per se, but try to make him look corny.

A few well placed "I hate you Lux" instead of "That's light" after big punch lines, some gestures mocking Hollow when his voice starts cracking, and some "You sound like a bytch" type comments during Hollow's rounds could go a long way towards swaying the crowd.

Nyggas want "angles". Well the angle is "Hollow sounds like a bytch". I can't think of a more practical angle than that.

Hollow might swing on him tho..

The worst case to me so far was Suge. Charlie managed to get away with only having one good third round, talking about "rope a dope" :mjlol:

Some of it is Suge's fault though. He came out swinging in the first but he slowed down the rest of the battle.

I have a feeling Suge is going to fall off a bit this year.

Brizz is hungry, I can see Suge coming with one good round, one short round, and one sketchy round.

Suge isn't going to beat Holla now, Suge is comfortable with his top tier status, while Holla will be coming back pissed off at all types of shyt.

Suge isn't going to beat Surf if that ever happens. Surf gonna expose him, he was Surf's little homie for years that shyt is bigger than battle rap.

The styles are not the same. The way Ave raps is more comparable to Bigg K, as long as he doesn't stumble through a round people are going to fukk with him.

And I think Magic/Ave will be a dope battle, but like a couple people have pointed out, Magic has been embarrassing himself every other battle for a good year now. There was no singular "bad showing", there are at least five. If people don't believe in Magic anymore, I gotta respect it.

except Magic didn't just have A bad showing, he's had multiple..

Style and number battles aside, lets keep it a buck. And mind you, I didn't say Ave would beat Magic and Magic beat Ave, I'm sayin.....all it takes sometimes is just one fukk up and the fans are already halfway out the door on a muthafukka. Or the already are. My point is, I wouldn't be surprised if Ave and any other newcomer went thru it like battlers from the past. Maybe not now but it could happen later on. Magic is definitely going thru it now and now fans are questioning how will he end his legacy with these talks of retirment on some 50/50 shyt with him.

Brizz hasn't won a battle since UFF. :martin:

I do agree about Holla. A year ago when this shyt was full swing I would of bet money on Suge. But a pissed off holla ain't shyt to play around with (Ars/JJDD/O-red)

I don't think anyone thought Suge would beat Surf. But I don't think that battle is happening anymore. I could be wrong though.

100% agree. Debo approaches this shyt like it's just normal battle rap and it's not. Female battle rap is it's own market. Anyone will watch a nikka that has bars. But females are a entire different story.

You can't just recruit a bytch who can rap and think she gonna make it. Debo needs to be willing to work with the demands the top girls has or he gonna fukk the whole brand up.

Smack can do whatever he wants with the pg talent cause he knows he's on top. Debo can't do that shyt with the girls when people aren't checking for them like that to begin with. So the few females that DO have clout in this battle shyt debo needs to do whatever it takes to get them

That 2v2 with Phara/Shoon Nina/Cee would of did a million in 2 months. Yet debo fukked up.

How did Debo fukk up the 2v2? Nina/Cee backed out and ain't been heard from since. But you might have a scoop, let us know.

Nina & Cee's styles aren't that marketable either imo, they out there trying to be lyrical but the name of the game for the females is drama.
