Beasley definitely made a phone call :lolbron:
Anybody else thing Math didnt show cuz he tryna save material for his URL solo return? :ld:

Nah, can't be.

URL shelved Math for 3 years. Unless you're a superstar, the way to get bread as a battle rapper is to battle on multiple leagues.

I don't think Math would possibly jeopardize his relationship with KOTD (which wasn't great to begin with) to battle on Smack a couple times a year

Anything is possible though. I don't know why Math no showed yesterday. Makes no sense to me. But I doubt it was a URL loyalty move. If it was, bad business on Math's part.

Sucks because I was really forward to his battle yesterday. Ordered the damn PPV and everything

Hollow didn't beast on Pat as much as I was led to believe, but he clearly got this battle as far from an overall watch. I feel like the rounds would be debatable though if I were actually a Pat Stay fan, so I guess I could see someone with leanings going that way. Hollow is going to have trouble with Mook if it's not in an environment where people are looking for his jokes.

Solomon magic a dope battle.. I see why Solomon hand picked him.. Could produce an angle and style on him due to b magic being pretty one dimensional style wise... Magic came with some shyt too.. Liked that magic slowed down some in the 3rd to let the bars breathe..replay value about a grade b.. Solomon wins.. Other reviews coming
Did Solomon get into one of his trademarked song and dance routines?

Hollow adapts to the environment he battles in. KOTD crowd ate them jokes and bars up. Doubt he would do the same on URL vs Mook.
He danced laps around Pat with his own style imo.

I dunno g, I think if nothing else, Hollow understands what is entertaining. I think people overestimate the "url crowd" and it's stereotyped lust for gun bars.. The two ways to make an angle work are thru real talk or jokes.. Also if he does battle Mook trust there's gonna be like 1000 people in attendance so the promoter can try to recoup lol, so elaborate schemes and I should not going to fly as much anyway, get to the punch... Will be interesting to say the least tho

I don't know, he did the same shyt against Clips and Surf on URL as well, it's just that the angle in the first against Clips was so thorough the way he pulled it off, and Surf's nonsense bars had people rethinking Surf demolishing Hollow in the building.

Now I also don't think Hollow takes everyone as seriously as he did Lux, which was his best performance since being locked up. I think (hope) he'd take Mook as seriously as he did there, but then again I'm not sure he respects Mook to that level. Better believe that Mook is coming with his toughest angle against Hollow; I think it'll end up being a boring battle anyway because of the style mash up anyway. Of course, seeing that they both have high asking prices (and Mook's is astronomical) this battle ending up on Smack isn't even that likely in the first place I suppose.

Im pretty sure he would take Mook very serious as he views Mook as one of the top guys. In a URL environment vs Mook I predict a similar Hollow we got vs Lux. All angles and bars with a joke here and there.

Mass 2 was a weird event, a lot of cats had heavy first rounds that made their next two rounds light by comparison. Not bouta review each battle in detail, but thoughts on some:
. Shotti P vs Xcel was cool to me. Shotti's first was flames and Xcel's second with the Boston v Flint ish got one of the biggest reactions all night.

. Gjonaj vs Danny woulda been fire without the interruptions that kept ruining momentum. Couldn't ask for a better moment for power to go out though. Danny was more consistent and heavy; Gjonaj wanted to do Super Lupe Lyrical or some ish and on first listen I heard some reaches and some punches built up too much for a light finish. Danny was Danny, punch after punch and I'd give it to him but I'm sure there's cats that'll give it to Gjonaj just because his ish was complicated...complicated doesn't always equal flames, dude was just alright.

. Pass slept on Moneybags and got ATE. Good to see Moneybags in a major match-up and he bodied. Hopefully this locks him in for KOTD major events.

. Ice vs K was the battle of the event imo. K had the best performance of the night to me, after Ice's first I wasn't sure K could take back momentum but he had the round of the night.

. Math vs Thesaurus is never happening, too bad because Thesaurus has been on a nice run of consistent performances and Math has had a few good ones recently too.

. Forcing Bangz vs DNA up after the bigger match-ups wasn't even fair. Bangz wasn't good, but it would have at least gotten a chance if they had a lead off battle.

. Solomon v Magic was great. Magic at his best in a long time, Solomon was in his bag with some heavy ish. Solomon sounds like he's gonna be around for a long time and like he wants to battle in a few leagues. Don't Flop v Shotty or Tony D would be cool; A URL redemption attempt needs to happen; and more KOTD reps too.

. Looking at KOTD fans trying to pump Pat 3-0 is ridiculous to me; but I guess it's a preference battle? Idk, I thought Hollow got it clearly and the gap got wider the longer they went back and forth. Wouldn't hate a 2-1 Hollow call, but that's as nice as I'd be. Hollow 3-0 for me, GOAT status as untouchable as ever.
