I'm curious, if yall had to make an SM card for this year what would it be?
There's not that many must see matchups left that I can think of.
Rex and twork vs mook and lux….

URL probably don't have enough funding anymore to throw events like that. That's why they're so few and far apart.
They're probably keeping their head above water through the app, but that's not enough to sustain.
They need to find some new sponsorships or other avenues to generate money
If Smack and Beasley were smart, they would've sold URL at its height and stayed on as consultants owning some percentage of the company. Now they're gonna have to probably work dumb hard to bring the brands value back up enough for someone to want to buy it.
In the past, when the money wasn’t there, they would go hard on finding new talent and doing pgs. They didn’t really have to pay those guys.
I remember after SM3, they damn near spent the following year just throwing pgs. It was that class of Ty law, SNO, Danny Myers, KG, Jay Rell, Anubis, etc.
Those weren’t stage guys or anything, but they were able to make it work because they were just small room battles and the pgs were respected back then.
Their most effective approach since the pgs has retired is introducing talent through the UF tournament. They need to do this through YouTube.
The URL really needs to make a commitment to doing content for Youtube. How about freestyles, interviews, etc? Of course that would require actual work.![]()
Well we see that URL's vision was short-sightedURL trying to maximize profits and minimize costs/risks![]()

You need free mediums like YouTube and even Caffeine to showcase new stars. This app shyt has been overdone. What happens when matchups start to runout? There couldve been at least two new stars and two more strong talents, and tons of matchup combinations that would hold them over for the next year and a half. oh well
