I haven't watched this yet. But it seems like to me that Smack was not 100% on board for the Caffeine deal but trusted Beasley. Once ole boy took over Caffeine and shut the money down shyt went left. I think ultimately Smack will leave URL and run Smack as its own league.

It’s kinda crazy because there are courses he could easily pay for to get rid of his speech impediment and present more professional.

For someone to be rich (self-admittedly)
Priorities seem out of order for that still to be an issue.

not a terrible card. its actually better than the last few they dropped, but who in world of marketing awareness decided to drop this on the saturday of st. pattys day? everyone (black people) gonna be out getting drunk because sunday (white day) is the day before work and also most college bball conf. championships are on that day before selection sunday now. really shoulda been the weekend before. i think im putting it together that they got all that initial caffeine money and didnt hire any real strategists to map out this entertainment landscape. smh

He stands in the middle of the performances as a logo for the brand, even though no one pays to see him. He is supposed to be relatable to the people that have supported his brand for years, and the people that work for him "Uncle Smack". The other owners have the option of putting other people on with Smack to help him get his point across, but they NEVER do. If you revisit older Smack interviews, he is a more coherent speaker nowadays. I just don't think Beasley wants him to sound TOO intelligent, and alienate the fans.

We see "Smack" and do a fair amount of assuming about Troy even though it's obvious he's playing a character. Personally I know nothing about Troy Mitchell, it's quite possible he doesn't sound like Smack when he talks to his loved ones.

Never. That would end him. URL is predicated on Smack being a real one who is tolerant and embracing of certain types of ignorance. Unless you're from the DVD era or before, you have to be a gang member, a mid to high level drug dealer or some violent criminal to make it big in URL. One of the most promising rookies in years is being derided because he's devout to his faith and is saving sex for marriage. The best lyricist since JC probably is looked at like he's less than because he wears glasses and looks like a nerd, when he's a single father, so he gets some kind of p*ssy and has been through some shyt. Surf refused to distance himself from the dumb shyt and has possibly derailed his own career as he was taking off, and Smack is visiting him out here, and the URL nikkas treat him like he's Mumia Abu-Jamal or something, instead of an example of what not to do. If Smack cleaned himself up, these ignorant b*stards would probably turn on him in a second. He has to counteract Beasley to fool nikkas into signing their lives away to rap for them.

I understand where you're coming from and yes Smack does stutter (which isn't as fixable as you suggest) but I just don't agree with the way you see it. You want him to appease people like you. Most of the people who follow his platform are not like you. Beasley is there to speak to the corporate folks. Your recommendations are quite useful for everyday folk, Smack is far from that. Smack is the guy who introduced hip-hop mainstream to BMF.
