He approaches battles and freestyles differently. If he battled like he freestyled, he'd body everyone in front of him, it wouldn't be close. He's so far ahead of these dudes as a pure MC, it's actually laughable. But his battle IQ is low. In order to appease modern fans you have to get to your point quickly, make it complex but digestible. Lux will take you down the corner and up the block just to cross the street in his battles. He loses the audience.
He killed Hollow because he really didn't like Hollow at the time and had a point to prove
I don't think he's felt he had a point to prove since or even cared enough. He wants to biggest bag possible and the match up that makes the most sense where he can recreate the Calicoe moment again. He wants to go viral. That's why he's picking Hitman over Nitty. He knows there's so much to talk about with Hitman then add on to the fact Hitman is so popular, it will be his biggest pay day and the most eyes. It's a win win. That's all he cares about now. He even said it on a Twitter spaces, we're beyond proving who can rap better. He said he already proved he raps better than all these nikkas. I honestly don't think Lux looks at any of these nikkas as real competition as far as skills go.
This is why I say Lux last good battle was against Charlie Clips. Lux was not feeling Clips at all
Yeah, they say you a good n!kka, I fought greater
All labor boss, on paper you a 4th grader
All you do is take a dope line or a gun bar
Then you just reference that with a sports player, you short paper
Fat boy, you couldn't get down with me with Rick Ross' trainer
Just ‘cause you got t*ts, brah
Don't mean you be thinkin' in broad layers
You Charlie Clip, I’m Fully Loaded
You ain’t even a trailer in my movies, snapshot
Ain’t no future in frontin', backdrop
You’re in here with the main attraction, mascot
Clips is lucky Smack stopped the 3rd like that because he was getting his life barred away.
