I think both things can be true. Lowering his stock so the Lux battle looks less attractive and saving some money because itās a non-Caffeine event.
Itās gotten to the point where these top tier battle rappers really need to have management. If I was a rapper, the only time I would be talking to Smack, Beasley, P, etc personally would be when Iām at the event about to rap. The type of ānegotiationsā these man talk about would never happen with me.

Anybody think Eazy and Nitewing have a similar cadence? Nitewing is way way better bar wise imo but that āsay some dope shyt then donāt pause after it, just say ānikkaā and keep going into the next bar over the reactionā flowā¦that shyt makes it sound even harder.

This is one of the reasons battle rap will remain stagnant for the foreseeable future. If losses mean nothing, how can there be an established tier system? Not directed at you, but we live in a goofy era.
Battle rap is about being a draw like anything else
The most skilled rappers donāt sell the most music or pack the most shows

Gotta agree. Same reasons why I'm never drawn to watch a chilla battle and why I've soured on JC as he's reached final form Crackhead.
