He claims he hasn't been under URL contract for 2 years. We'll see

It doesn’t matter, we all know he’s going to get “the call.”

“Oh if you want to go to trenches, just stay over there.”

“ how much Eazy paying you? We’ll double that add it to your usual purse and give you a battle against T-Rex.”

His rant against smack would signify that’s not the case. Same thing Arp said about shine would probably be the same for Mike p. If Mike could battle on RBE or other places he would have done it

I’m curious, what do y’all think is the right number of years for a URL contract for a brand new act?

I believe Easy’s contract was for 6 years right. When you first hear 6 years, your initial reaction is that it’s way too long right? But then I start thinking about. It can take about 3 years to build a guy into battler that can be on a SM card. Once they’re on a SM card, URL is going to want to capitalize off their newfound status. I get the reasoning for 6 years.

It's funny, you're not all the way off because that's how it works in baseball. Once a player reaches the majors, the team has 6 years of service time of the player, until they can become a free agent. But what most teams do is, if they find a player they think is elite, they buy out their arbitration years and just sign them to a big contract before they reach free agency.

I don't necessarily think it should be 6 years, but it can work in the same form. I would sign everyone to a 4 year deal. I feel that gives the league enough time to evaluate the talent they have and they can just extend them anytime before that 4th year is up if they feel they're worth keeping. And it allows battlers to build up their rep on the biggest platform and either re-sign or explore other options after their contract expires.

2-3 years with an option to pick up an extra

after that, if they aint primed to be on a big stage, there aint a lot of reason to hold on to em. very rarely it seems like an act is gonna be much better than their first 4-5 showings. If you lucky with them longer acts, you have some people that get runs that put eyes on em like Drugz before he ran into Shotgun Suge, Tournament Cortez, Tournament Jakkboy, hell, even tournament Swamp if we being for real. they some anomalies tho

Throw em in a madness tournament if they still doin that, get em on some app events and see how they go from there.

Five years or six years is actually good for most of these cats. EZ just hit what is maybe the greatest run in battle history and if not the best it’s on the short list. That situation isn’t gonna happen to 95% of them, and to be honest, considering EZ’s age and life/battle career situation at the time, taking a six year deal was a good look for him probably.

Definitely the worst thing for a league is spending all of the upfront money and work building a guy into a star, which will take years, for him to just cash out on your competitors platforms afterward.

Yall loving picking and choosing when race matters and when it doesnt.
race angles just like any other angle to me. depends on how you use it and if it aint been done to death and better by someone else. like how many times can and ways can someone entertain me by telling me geechi hid behind a tree and jaz worked at a call center? or that verb mom is gay (which he says she isnt)? battle rap aint nothing but repetitive lies anyway. just make it work or dont cry when it doesnt.

if verb goes this route and it falls flat i dont wanna hear his "yall love the white boy so much yall aint hurr me...."

no sir.
