Is a Brizz return still a big draw? I feel like the ship has sailedI'd have to assume the only reason why they'd try to push two on twos off as a NOME card... something big has to happen
I think we get Shine & Rex finally, but it also could be Top & Brizz

Even as a REGULAR Double Impact card, this shyt is ass, and they have the nerve to merge it with the NOME brand this time?Card looks mid as fukk

1. I bet Beasley is lying with that statement. Caffeine was footing the bill for these cards to live stream, while URL got to put them on the app when the stream was over. Mook bragged about getting paid 60k for the same battle 3x, I bet that was all Caffeine money. Caffeine was offsetting a lot of costs for URL, like giving battlers streaming deals, which most likely made it easier for URL to negotiate the app only battle fees. I agree with the visibility thing though. I think it was either Ez or Norbes that said they were spending a lot on marketing, billboards and shyt.I have no intentions on even watching the PPV. This may perhaps be the worst URL year ever. The thing about it is that if the URL has a bad year, it hurts the entire culture. I respect what RBE does, but they are clearly not a #1 type of league.
1. From the outside looking it, it just appears that once the dynamic of their partnership changed with Caffeine, it’s just been lackluster. I remember Beasley said in an old interview that they actually make more money independently than working with Caffeine, however, Caffeine provided visibility to a bigger audience.
2. I lowkey think URL is going to continue to do cards like this until that streaming deal runs out. Once they have the rights to stream again, they’ll just do it on their own platform. They’ll do bigger battles to drive customers to the app.
I'm going to buy more than likely because I watch every URL event but I'm not that interested in it. The last time they did a two on two card it was arguably their best event of that year, so maybe it can happen again, but I'm not big on low stakes battles and that's what 2 on 2s are.I have no intentions on even watching the PPV. The caffeine deal no longer benefits them imo. It reminds me of an artist that puts out some bull shyt albums to get out their deal.
