What is "the big stage" in 2023?
Is standing on a stage with Smack without a guaranteed YT drop a bigger deal than battling Mook on PPV in a room with a subsequent YT drop?
That's a good question. I always understood the "big stage" as meaning the spot where you would get the most exposure. I would say Mook on PPV with a YT drop is the bigger stage if your other option is an app battle + caffeine PPV. If caffeine was free, they would be the big stage with the marketing caffeine pumps into their events. They had Ez etc on billboards and shyt promoting their cards.
URL having the big stage title was cool when they were doing youtube drops, was cool when they had caffeine for free. But you cant have that title if all you offering are app battles and Caffeine PPVs. Pretty soon it will just be all app battles too, with the app running the PPVs/ streaming events when the Caffeine deal ends. When that happens, URL will just be catering to the hardcore BR fans who will get the app, that would be a small stage of what 200k eyes?
I know app gang aint gonna like that opinion. Yall gotta understand that for a battler looking for exposure outside the culture, they app doesnt work for some battlers.
