Quick question, after all the talk about swamp vs jc I’m noticing when folks score rounds it’s all or nothing.
Am I the only one that ranks rounds similar to a boxing scoring system, then tallying up those scores to get a winner?
I.E. I had swamp up 20/18 after 2. With the couple of chokes I gave JC rnd 3 10/7 (I count chokes/stumbles similar to knock downs)

Battle Rap may be too subjective to use a Compubox style for scoring. With boxing, there are objective measures like punches thrown, punches landed, type of punch, etc.). Even without that system, it is pretty clear to determine who is up just by observing the fight for all 12 rounds without taking commentary & crowd noise into account.
In battle rap, the impact of a punch (for example) is severely impacted by crowd participation and what an individual vibes with. The writing and performance aspects need to be scored individually and collectively with a rubric to analyze past preferences.
Depends on what your criteria/criterion is; as an individual.

Nyggas using a HBO compubox to score battle rap.
That's funny as hell. If we want to see people betting on this sport in Vegas eventually, there has to be a standard to go by."According to my thesis
