lol if you say so...I've been reading comics for a long time now....just cause you can show an example here or there (which i can do too) doesn't mean that's what that character was built on/how it is the majority of the time...i can think of examples the punisher says some wise crack shyt, but you wouldn't call him a wise cracking character would you? etc...

naw, not drunk, like i said, I've been reading comics a long time now.....and so far in the movies, the male leads have acted more like tony character wise...

i do agree about 1 thing though: it does depend on the author...in comics, it always has....and in the new marvel, they have changed the comics world and characters to reflect the movies more....even going as far as making iron man the center of their universe now, and not spidey....

Cap wasnt like Tony

Scott Lang was very comic accurate

Starlord was accurate, reminded me most of how he was in Thanos Imperative

Thor was nothing like Tony

Daredevil was nothing like Tony

Im not seeing it at all :yeshrug:

People are the biggest hypocrites. They always angry about Hollywood no longer being original, or there's no more filmmakers that make ambitious films anymore, and tired of reboots or movies that are no different from other films and so forth. But whenever someone actually DO an ambitious film that against the norms of conformity, it is automatically rejected. I can pass with the complaints of editing miscues, especially knowing this isn't the version that Snyder wanted. I can pass on even not liking one character such as Eisenberg's take on Luthor...but to say the ENTIRE MOVIE is trash because it is not with the so-called redundant formula you are used to... FOH with that. It is filmmakers like Kubrick and Hitchcock that made themselves legends due to them breaking away from formulaic filmmaking (and no I am not saying Snyder is on their level whatsoever).... At the very LEAST people should applaud the ambition and the going off the grain creativity of this picture that's totally unlike what been put out in superhero pictures before. And this without the director's cut.

And it really does seem like some monkey see monkey do type shyt wit dis piling on of scust from dese critics.

I'm all for fair criticism but dis lookin more n more like some kinda hit job against Snyder for some odd reason to me. :patrice: :francis:

Damn brehs , I think the studio panic and fukked shyt up .... Snyder said they had to do some last minute editing, that explains how shyt felt unfinished .... I can't wait for the director's cut

It wasn't the fact the studio panicked, but his cut is 3hrs long and would of gotten a R-rating by the MPAA. So they had no choice BUT to chop it down a bit.

The double toasted review of this movie explained why he's not good of a character really well. I just got done watching it

I'll have to check for it. I actually dig the character. He isn't easily relatable tho, especially with his powers. Still I dug how they presented him in this and MoS. dude has constantly sacrificed for the planet he now calls home. Its a really conflicted character perhaps more so than Bruce.

It felt like an R-rated film to me ... Maybe that's the reason it felt so dark for most of the movie

Just got out of the cinema an hour ago....

I liked it :yeshrug:

This is the kind of film where not everything is spelled out for you. No exposition means you really have to pay attention. I think a LOT of comic books films have had a lot of the story telling TOLD to them by a character, which means the story telling has become lazy.

Not in this film; it reminds me a lot of Nolan's Batman trilogy where the next scene's dialogue is spoken while the previous scene is playing out, which means if your not really listening or watching, you will miss out.

The 20-30 extra mins on the blu-ray will make up for the "jump scenes" that people felt happened. All it takes is 1-2 mins on each major scene to make it simple for people to understand.

See this with an open mind and pay attention and you will come out liking it.

First hour was slow and the structure/pacing was a mess but the hour and a half that followed was amazing. The actual Batman Vs Superman fight scene looked insane, I dont get how anyone can complain about that. Affleck did fantastic as batman and his fighting style actually looked brutal compared to bales pathetic punches in the past. If it wasnt for the sloppy first hour this would have been my favourite comic book movie of all time
