Breh come on now, as a journalist if that is what this guy want to be regarded as he has to be held to a hire standard, and when you infringe on people passion with bias you should not be surprised of repercussion and that people get mad and remember. It's ok to have an opinion and a preference but instead of saying there are reservations he alluded to the whole D.C. slate being scrapped screaming Doomsday and presented it as facts :laugh: the people that follow or care could clearly tell that he was framing this narrative and not reporting the facts. I haven't seen this guy get death threats or maybe I don't follow these things close enough, hell I ain't even know who dude was until the thread made about the report.

Ordinarily I'd say yeah journalist should be held to higher standards but I don't see any of this as them not doing their jobs. Reporting on what they hear and putting their opinion in it is a part of journalism. When chuck Todd says what he's hearing from democrats or republicans he puts his own analyst in the story too. He gives the story but then gives his own two cents of what it may mean or what it may not mean. Which is the same thing Devin did. And I'm not even a big fan of dude because he can be annoying as hell at times but as a former journalist I feel the need to defend him and movie journalist in general because fans act like complete babies all of the time when it comes to this shyt. If he says something you don't like that should be cool just like if he says something you do like. And I'm not saying you're acting like a baby but just in general this shyt has been going on for the past few years and it irks the hell out of me as someone who's been on the other side and still is on the other side. Anytime a big movie comes out the pitchforks come out for anyone who dare disagree with us. The guy said what he heard just like homeboy from hitfix and then made his opinion based on what he heard. But rather than cats sit and take a chill and realize that they're both getting info from people inside the studio, they get mad at the writers for daring to have a dissenting opinion on stuff they haven't even seen yet. Film criticism and film news is as objective as a racist at a Donald
Trump rally. That's just reality.

Marty, you my dawg, and since you work in the industry I can respect your opinion coming from the other side, But can you objectively tell me that there is not a difference between hey there are some reservations from execs about how the movie will be received, to EXECs are splits about whether its a good movie and heads will roll :laugh:

This is true lol but if you've heard heads will roll it's your job to report that. That's what I'm saying. And that's real shyt with any movie. If it doesn't do what it's supposed to do, people will lose their jobs. The bigger the movie the bigger the reward and bigger the risks. There's a reason avi arad and mark tolmach aren't working on spider man anymore. And I'm pretty sure other people got fired after it didn't do what they needed it to do. There's a reason spectre needed to make at least 800 million worldwide or else. That shyt is real homie. It's sad and at times it's irresponsible as hell but it's real.
