Comic Drax used to be Hulk levels but Movie Drax was basically a muscle guy from prison. He's good compared to regular guys but he was never a powerhouse like his comic counterpart

To be honest I think a lot of the inconsistent or ''nerfed" powers has served the MCU well. It's hard to translate super duper power levels to the big screen. What winds up happening is people talk about all the destruction you created and how many innocent civilians you killed instead of the action pieces they occurred in.
