I actually think its a more compelling arc of the Hulk actually being AFRAID for once.
I still think Cap should have died. Breh ran up on Thanos (wielding all but one infinity stone) on some one on one fade, shyt.
Yeah, Thanos seemed amused by him on some, "Lil dude got heart," tip. But still, he should've gotten that permanent work.
The Russos said the more powerful Thanos got (and the more Stones he got) the less likely he was to kill random people. Because he was on a mission, damn near like a religious experience.

he spent two years as a gladiator yes... but it was said Banner was trying to come back... it was also said by Banner hulk wants control and he thinks if he turns back to hulk he cant turn back to Banner... its an inner battle .. which Banner took for granted at the end of thor when he was like .. I got this... but then Hulk didn't emerge right away... Hulk is toying with Banner and after those last two fights (which are hours apart) He's like F you banner..

Hulk's whole M.O is fighting and proving he's the strongest. Not to mention Banner's livelihood is in the best interests of Hulk. It's just lazy plotting that's being excused by the directors after the fact. He got his ass beat and he's scared makes a lot more sense than him putting his own existence on the line because he suddenly wants the weak version of himself to solve his own problems. If he could take over for two years and enjoy a life of fighting why would he suddenly stop trying to take over in the midst of huge fights? Letting Banner hold his own in the midst of conflict would only serve to give Banner confidence that he doesn't need to Hulk out to solve his problems which only serves to keeping Hulk forever subdued.

This movie is a bit weak and corny. Some of the dialogue is just horrid. And it's way too long and poorly edited kinda.
They always shoehorning in some dumb relationship. Last time it's Hulk and Widow, now Vision Scarlet witch. Too much time with dialogue on the Gamora n Thanos subplot. Too many corny one liners.
Also the whole Hulk sacred to come out, I think Mark whatever is annoying. Wanted way less of him and more Hulk.
The he mourns, he's in anguish lines....omg. terrible scene.
Ebony Maw was the best part of the movie and he gets knocked off way too easily.

I don’t understand why they can’t make their movies like that.
But I thought it was pretty good.
Couldve sworn they did this before, but I guess with them going the “New 52” route, they slightly trynna retcon.

Hulk wasn't afraid. I see why it looked like that until you watch what happened in IW in the context of his character arch.
He flew off in the quin jet to get away from earth..ended up on Sakarr and was allowed 2 years of free reign on a planet where he is worshiped as a god for smashing shyt as opposed to to being feared, hunted and shamed for being himself. He never wanted to leave there, he certainly didn't want to go back to earth.
His only purpose before Ragnarok was venting Banners anger. But he had enough time out and about to see an existence beyond that. He found out he can chill in the hot tub, drink pina coladas, flirt with bad light skin bytches and still smash when he feels like it. That also gave him enough time and experience to mature from a big green baby into someone smart enough to carry on a conversation, have a sense of style and also understand that he's being used by Banner and The Avengers only to be put away by Nat and her lullaby when they're done with him.
He came out for Thor, because Thor is the homie, he respects him. He ain't cool with them other nikkas like that, Banner most of all. Him not coming out when called upon was him telling Banner and The Avengers to hold their own nuts.
