that's because I'm not really an opening week type of guy.. I read forums and etc... do all the spoilers.. get hype .. then I see it maybe a week or two later..
majority of the time when I'm having movie discussions.. I didn't even see the flick yet... I just go on spoilers/reading into what scenes mean/comprehension and good on universe (SW/LOTF/comics) history ..and I hold my own in the discussions... then when I finally see .. I expand more on my previous comments..

How necessary will it be the see Ant-man 1 & 2 before watching this movie?

you need to watch ALL 21 movies... you still got time for tickets... it starts tomorrow

Three AMC Theaters across the country, including AMC Lincoln Square 13 on the Upper West Side, are giving moviegoers the opportunity to watch every single Marvel movie in a row leading up to the release of Avengers: Endgame.

That means fans will get to spend a total of 59 hours and 7 minutes watching 22 Marvel movies back-to-back.

The epic marathon will kick-off at all 3 theaters on Tuesday April 23 at 10 a.m. local time and go all the way through Thursday April 25 when Avengers: Endgame will cap it off beginning at 5 p.m. local time.

The 22 Marvel movies in order:

Iron Man (2008)
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Thor (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
The Avengers (2012)
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Ant-Man (2015)
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Doctor Strange (2016)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Black Panther (2018)
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Those who bought your ticket already, did you go for 3D or standard?

I went with 3D this time, however I wear prescription glasses so sometimes those 3D joints I don't feel like adjusting over my regular glasses so I skip the 3D version.

I wear glasses too so I hear ya far as how those joints feel over your prescriptions, especially for a very long movie.

I originally had IMAX 3D at Regal. 10pm show. Almost 350 seats in the auditorium-I was gonna up in there stylin’-oooh yea.

...then later that day my son came home from school-with his grandstanding and hot dogging-talkin bout he had a music assembly at school at 6pm that evening. So I had to hop on Atom and switch my rsvp to a nearby AMC joint instead. Thursday at 10 still, but it’s in Dolby.

Just got back an hour ago and copped 4 tickets...:youngsabo: Movie theater was empty asf and no one was around buying the tickets, still had plenty NOT SOLD OUT...:pachaha: I told y'all I get in on opening weekend if I wanted to...:umad:
What kind of theater though. I mean i can easily get tickets 10 minutes before the movie starts at my shytty local theater, with the fabric seats 90's arrangement.

But if i want the leather rumble seats with the recliners thats another story.
