this promo applies to crews right now. the guy shows no emotions so it's hard for fans to connect with him. even after getting his ass beat he'll come out smiling like it's everything is all good

they should've paired him with cena and go for the "never give up" and always believe angle if all he's gonna do is smile then bring up samoa joe to beef with him. at this point they need to just send him back to NXT for a while to rebrand him. he's a really good wrestler so they can still make it work.

I remember when he first got signed, HHH showed no enthusiasm about getting Uhaa. HHH doubted him from the beginning, and was pretty much like, "well, let' see if he could do anything here" in a lifeless and uninterested voice. HHH was hyped about every other signee. They did nothing with him in NXT, and if u aint shyt in NXT, you have less of a chance on main stage.

Look at Tyler Breeze. Amazing worker, had big matches in NXT, and was there forever, but they really never made him a threat or top player. I don't even know what Brand Breeze is on now.

Like I mentioned in the SD thread, either:

1) An interracial dating story-line with Alexa Bliss or a Dana Brooke that has been traded for a recently returning Brie. Have some backstage flirting or something going on (maybe someone not liking it, somebody random like a Vaudevillain or something) and go from there

or

2) Attacking Orton during a promo decked out in fatigues, draping a black flag over him and kneeling like Kaepernick.

If he couldn't get interest from that, I just don't know

The biggest problem is that they don't even give him some opportunity to sink or swim. They just keep throwing him out there with a rock tied around his neck and then complain that he can't stay afloat. Like you got Bryan on Talking Smack every other week talking about how Apollo has a great potential and it just needs to come out, but how is he supposed to do that when you have him getting manhandled by Baron Corbin week after week? Hell, how do you shoot weekly promo's of Corbin bullying Kalisto backstage and then never even address it, let alone have a match between the two? Because this isn't just a problem with Apollo, it's the problem of WWE still acting like the midcard is purgatory and nothing matters.
