You take too many clean shots to the temple and chin? You'll drop..it never fails.

That's always subjective to the fighters.

Floyd lands more flush than most fighters in Boxing today but his KO ratio doesn't show that. There were punches he landed on guys like Mosley, Cotto, and even as recent as Guerrero that someone with legit power would've dropped them. Not to compare, but it's why Pacquiao can knock guys like Mosley and Cotto down and Floyd doesn't be it stylistically and or not having the power at that weight.

That's why I think he's fine with fighting the way he does, but it was pretty evident early on that Floyd was a much more aggressive fighter and he would go for the KO. Obviously now he's matured and he's a smarter fighter, but I think he's had several opportunities to KO/TKO fighters (Mosley in particular as of recent) but whether it's his hands or his power is really relevant at 147lbs, it does make things a bit interesting against a guy who isn't on par with Floyd skill wise but IMO can probably take Floyd's best punch and and not be affected. That'll be very telling in the fight.

He had Cotto stumbling a bit from an uppercut.

Also, with Floyd, he's content with the UD. Maybe it is because of the hands. The last time he did go for a KO was Hatton. Against JMM, he knocked him down in the second round. At any point in time, Floyd could have gone for the KO, but he didn't. He has a gameplan and he has the stamina to enforce it for twelve rounds.

This is very true. I think the most perplexing this is how is Canelo's demeanor in the fight. With all of the crazy shyt Floyd has said over the years, it comes back to one thing for me. It looks different outside of the ring.

There are some extreme cases..some dudes can just FLAT OUT eat some fukking punches..no matter how hard you wreck them. Ward and Gatti for instance on both accounts but when you get cold cocked? It's lights out. Mayweather usually has the speed and reflexes to get away with slick shyt like that..the weight difference may protect Canelo a little more but he won't be throwing bombs all night.

As for Mayweather and KOS? Dude has had hand issues since Roy Jones ruled the Pound 4 Pound top 10....it's how it is.

Oh I agree, especially when the gym is 85 degrees lol. But that was when we had purpose sparring? I forget what they called it, but round one you just jab and slip/parry, round 2 was more defensive with jabbing and 1-2's round three would be all out, and then repeat rd 4 jabbing/slipping parrying rd 5 defensive, jab's 1-2, and final rd would be all out. So your body kind of worked itself up then go to a slower pace and build it up again. Trust me, I could not do that shyt now lol

Floyd's thinking about getting out as soon as he's throwing his straight right, no way he throws with 85% of the power he has

Haha i get you...and that's what im saying, fam. Dude is 36, works out 3 times a day and PART of his workout is a 21 minute sparring session that looks to outweigh you by 20-25 pounds and you work HIM out? shyt cray. We had to do medicine ball sit ups between 3 minute rounds and I thought THAT was tiring:whew:
