Basically, she's highlighting the differences between Biracials, Multi-Generationally Mixed (Creoles, Latinos, Melungeons) and Mono-racial light skin Blacks

It's a good listen. You should watch the whole thing if you have the time. Clears up alot of confusion

like Tariq said a while back, under white supremacy they all Black. Them lite brites was slaves too. Cacs wasn't splitting hairs on the plantation, even with all them categories-octaroon, quadroon, etc. that whole mixed folks as a buffer population like SA didn't happen here

Gullah/Greechi, perhaps a few cultural customs remain from Africa. But a lot of it was just created by themselves on plantations and honed over time.

Most of it originates here. The first Africans of stepfoot on this continent, as far as we know, was in 1526. Nearly 500 years. It's been gradually evolving since then.
