3 things with this show and the overall handling of the cruisers that's been bothering me:

1. Stop slowing the matches down. They're working the WWE style to a tee and it puts me to sleep. They've grounded Lince Dorado who's a fukking luchador and who's goal is to get over by doing flippy shyt. Swann barely flies anymore either, and what makes Nese unique (strength + catlike agility) is negated by these basic ass matches. I get that too much flippy shyt isn't always good but they brand this show as the "most exciting hour of TV" yet its just rest holds and dropkicks the entire match. It's boring and takes away from what CWC was all about

2. They're also booking 205 Live like Raw and its painful. It feels like every week its the same matches over and over again, and its even worse because they repeat these same matches on Raw too. How many times do we have to see Gulak job in a random match?

3. I noticed on SDL how almost every rivalry top to bottom is either over a championship or fallout from/leadup to a championship match. Raw's stories fail because guys are in pointless and meaningless feuds fighting over nothing, and 205 is being written the same way. Daivari and Gallagher are fighting over nothing. Kendrick and Tajiri are fighting over nothing. TJP is fighting nobody and for nothing. "You beat me up / were mean to me so lets fight" is a ridiculously boring and stupid story motivation. Cedric and Dar the only sorta interesting story but girlfriend/love triangle situations are midcard fodder at best.

Even with Neville, he's been beating people up just to beat them up these first few weeks back. There was no natural progression to a title shot for him, he even wrestled the champion the 2nd week he came back like wtf is that. Raw does this all the time too, I don't wanna see the world champ wrestle your planned #1 contender before their title match. All you had to do was have him come in, take out the roster 1 by 1 in matches every week (start with Maluta, then Ali, then Dorado, then Cedric, then Gallagher (the last 2 you can have Dar and Daivari run interference, get your storylines moving and not have everything be so isolated), then finally beat TJP, Tajiri, and a debuting Tozawa in a 4-way for #1 contendership). He's supposedly "King of the Cruiserweights" but has only wrestled like 3 of them. Look at Baron Corbin, he earned his stripes in the midcard and got inserted into the title picture because that's how it works.

Vince McMahon has been very upset with the lack of fan interest for both 205 Live and the RAW Cruiserweight division, which is why WWE wants to add more Superstars with name value to the division (like they did with Neville and Tajiri).

Neville was not planned to be a part of the division, but those plans changed after 205 Live failed to gain a lot of interest from fans. Austin Aries is said to be the next addition to the Cruiserweight roster once he heals from his orbital injury.

WWE has admired Neville’s work with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann on 205 Live.

Start them off the same you started the divas revolution with just random matches with no direction, and on top of using the same guys over and over, on top of watering down their movesets....

the fatal 4 way the night they debuted on Raw was piff

They're being stupid.

1st of all, Neville should've been a plan all along. He's never gonna be a true champ on RAW

2ndly, these 205 matches are too freakin long with too many spammed kickouts. Matches need to be no more than 5-7 mins. This will allow you to showcase all talent, develop angles etc. TJ Perkins is supposed to be a draw, but he wasnt even on the show last week. That's dumb.

All these guys should be far more over than they are.

TJ Perkins is a good draw for kids and girls.

He needs to be on the show every week.

Neville ain't above much more. He was buried on RAW for a whole year before he got injured. Nobody cared about him. Now he's a heel and better than ever at his role.
