@DropTopDoc @Whips-n-Chains and whoever else
Rank these coaches who under the most pressure between Franklin, Sark & (somewhat) Dabo? Maybe even Lanning too.
Franklin's top opps got big QB and roster turnover so in theory, the B1G should be his for the taking.
Kinda the same for Lanning. Yeah, they gotta break in a new QB but they seem to be 'rich' at every other position
SEC up in da air with the jury out on DeBoer at Bama, whatever da fukk Kirby doing at QB and Arch Manning is post to be Andrew Luck & Peyton combined so Sark gotta make sum'n shake, no?
I mean, Dabo got titles so I guess it ain't rally no true pressure but how long can u rest on laurels and keep Clemson from falling truly byke into the "Clemson'ing" abyss if u don't deliver soon? Especially at the QB position?
Pressure gauge:
Franklin has zero pressure rn...on paper he won 2 playoff games. In reality, he beat the two weakest teams in the playoffs, and his QB is at his ceiling. PSU will be good, and they have a very favorable schedule with Oregon at home, and OSU in Cbus, as their toughest games. They'll probably lose both of course, and go 10-2 and be right back in the playoffs. Maaaaybe they beat Oregon at home, but I assure you they're not winning in columbus.
Lanning, mild pressure to at least win 1 or 2 playoff games, b/c oregon as a program and lanning as a whole hasn't gotten over the hump.
Dabo, mild pressure, should win the ACC and be in the playoffs again, anything less and he's going to have major pressure.
Kirby, no pressure of being fired or whatever, but pressure to maintain. Stockton was unimpressive af against ND, and although they won the SEC, there's going to be pressure to get back to title contention to maintain top dog status in the south.
Sark, mild pressure to get to a title game and win the SEC...OSU game was winnable, but Ewers choked. Now it's Arch's time, and everyone will expect GOATness. Texas should be. Somewhat favorable 2025 conference schedule with
@UGA as their toughest game. Going to OSU for game 1 will be extrememly difficult but even a loss won't matter that much by the time seeding rolls around.
Deboer, major pressure. There's a reason why he wasn't Bama's first choice, and I didn't love this hire, but he's still a great coach. Hard to replace the GOAT. However, he inherited a top 3 program and had their worst season in damn near 20 years with multiple embarrassing losses. His best win was beating UGA's worst team in the last 5-6 years. Big part of this is on Milroe, but they still decided to roll with him. Most make the playoffs or his seat will be lava hot the following year.
