Yea but they lost 3 or 4 others, 1 which they for sure didn't belong, a second which is questionable at best they belong.

Don't forget the epic embarrassment of the Fiesta Bowl vs. Boise too.

I'm not saying they're garbage...they're a top 5ish all time program, I'm just saying time and time again they were a let down
Why you acting like Boise wasn't a perennial top 10 program every season though?

They went to Maryland and beat Va Tech
Went to the Georgia Dome and beat Georgia
Oklahoma was just their coming out party but wasn't worse than Notre Dame losing to NIU or Notre Dame losing to Marshall.

They were 1-3 in title games under Stoops. Not the best record but it's better than being 0-4, Ask Bills fans. Still got to the top of the mountain when most programs/coaches never do.

Big game differs for some programs

For Oklahoma it was title games, Texas, bcs bowl games, playoff games. Top 10ish match ups. The b12 was pretty much OU and Texas so losing to ksu is inexcusable. Losing to Boise State is inexcusable.

They never won a playoff game either.
So you would prefer them lost to lesser teams, or just never lose any games ever?

That run 2011 LSU had to only lose to a team that they already beat on the road:

#3 Oregon
@ #25 Miss St
@ #16 WVU (random af lol)
#17 Florida
#19 Auburn
@ #2 Alabama
#3 Arkansas
#12 Georgia in Atlanta

You go through ALL THAT with Jarrett Lee & Jordan Jefferson as your QBs to end up with a meaningless season because you had to rematch the GOAT :bryan:

Let me preface the lsu team wasnt losing to much of anything because they could out athlete damn near every team except bama

But the context of their schedule matters
Florida, and Msu finished 7-6
Wvu went on to lose to Louisville and the cuse and beat the slaw of the big east
8-5 auburn…. With the recent trend these were better days and this was one year post cam at that
Arkansas being good meant shyt was down they escaped vandy and A&M

Good question... Texas did gett fukked over in 2008 (?) when they beat OU, but lost to TTU and OU got the nod over them to go to the title game vs. UF. Both OU and UT had 1 loss, and UT had the h2h win, but UT's loss came later in the season.

Ut would have got their cornbread took you were a sacrificial lamb

Not just that but Oklahoma blew the fucckin off Tech shortly after they beat Texas.

I think Texas should have got the nod too but I get it being hard to use head to head for the reason when Tech had that same logic to use.

But by the same logic…HOW THE FUCCK DID OKLAHOMA MAKE THE 03 TITLE GAME AFTER LOSING LIKE THIS :mindblown:

That was criminal like when Nebraska went to the chip after Colorado put belts to ass

But that pole and bcs played stupid games too

Ngl, these are the reasons I never pulled for OU... they always came up short in these big games.

Losing your conference in 2003 should mean zero chance to make the title game. KSU fukked them up too.

Nah Oklahoma was them bruh

Boise has had 4 top 10 finishes...however they were in a 6 year span. They did have an elite run

All I'm saying is OU has had a lot of let down.

USC has had some but they've also won multiple titles.

OSU did too between their title in 02 and their title in '14. They came up short, or lost big in some title games, etc. The difference was they did come back and started winning them.

I'm not saying OU is garbage by no means...they're elite...they're better off consistency wise then say UF, who won more titles, b/c OU was a routine 11-12 win team.

But there's something to be said about 0-4 in the playoffs, 1-3 in BCS titles, 4-5 in BCS bowls. Are they one of the models of consistency in CFB for like 25 years? Yes but these #s speak for themselves.

Boise didn't sneak shyt. Stop it.

They might have caught OU sleeping but after that everybody knew what it was with Boise.

My thing with you is you're more critical of the teams that get to the big games and lose than the teams that don't even come close and lose games that they shouldn't. It's crazy breh.

I'm critical of any elite program/blue blood that doesn't get it done at the high level (LeBron syndrome).

Of course it's better to make it there but all them finals losses start looking funny.

I was clowning pre-stallions Michigan extremely hard but they got over the OSU hump, then the next level and won

I clowned OSU for those let downs too. They put up this year when it mattered most

We all criticized tf out of UGA until 2021...we clowned ND til they finally won a Playoff game

@Silkk Trust me, I'm critical of Tom Izzo for this same shyt...getting to final fours and losing, title game loss, hanging on to a title from 2000.

Meanwhile, UConn, a team that has had stretches where they've missed the tournament for multiple years straight, has won like 5 titles, but MSU has the consistency of going to like 32 straight tournaments. Consistency is only worth so much.

Mike Tomlin's playoffs every season stretch
