It truly is. It’s bullshyt how they can do this days later. These Olympic committee a$$holes are pricks.
Chiles originally took bronze in the women’s floor final following an inquiry that allowed for her to shift from fifth to third in the scoring, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport determined Saturday that the decisive review was submitted four seconds beyond the one-minute deadline.

We still going to pretend it wasn't some bullshyt? 4 fukking seconds? over a decision that was correct anyway?

who's leading in gold? Still China?

If they win, it will be their first win outside of their country, their second win since 2008 and the first time the US did not win since 92 (except in Beijing where China won)
Looking like it'll be a tie in gold at worst and a slight chance of America leading at best.

China values gold medals over everything else, so they go hard for sports with judges and sports where natural ability is less important....sports where you can just pluck kids from their home and train them into the ground. They also look at events most countries give zero shyts about (looking at you table tennis).

The United States also values gold medals but they do not have a "gold or nothing" mentality. They want gold in their strong events and silver/bronze for events where they're not considered the best. They want total domination...most golds and most total medals.

The only reason China doesn't do the same is because they can't. U.S. is much more competitive across a broader range of sports...which is why they have more Olympians qualifying than anyone else.
For the US it depends on the sport I think. Like for basketball it’s gold or nothing, I can’t see lebron Durant being happy with silver. I imagine for most sports it’s the same where if you’re expected to win gold but if you aren’t expected to win anything then any medal is great.

At worst US lose in gold but leading in total medals, at best they tied in gold and leading in total medals.
