So this is the group of US mens soccer players that are the best and brightest and will be the senior team in the next 5 years or so?

We aint winning shyt in the World Cup for a long time, if ever.

No. Maybe Paxton Aaronssen, Taylor Booth and the back up keeper Slolina have a chance of ever playing first team minutes. Most of the good under 23 guys won’t be released by their clubs. The players chosen were basically guys who aren’t good, US federation favorites(Gregg Berhalter guys) or MLS players that are able to get released from their clubs. By the time the U.S. current squad ages out, not for another ten years or so since they are one of the youngest teams in the world, you’ll have a completely different core.

No, the Olympics is basically a U-23 tournament with each nation getting an allowance for a few over-age players (2 I think).

Most, if not none, will ever see time on the senior team. They're not good at all. This isn't a FIFA-sanctioned event so clubs dont really let good players participate.

Not many. Busio I think has a couple of caps already and is playing for Venezia in Serie A next season. Other than that none of them. The problem is the US has no way of creating a proper system for the men. The college system has too much variance in quality to forge quality players and our coaches emphasize physical fitness and power as opposed to technical skill.

There's a reason why all of our best senior players (Pulisic, McKennie, Weah, Balogun, Reyna, Dest, etc) all play or have played in Europe since very young and skipped college.

In the women's game, there's MUCH more talent because it's the primary sport for young girls in the US. So basically if you're an athletic girl under 6'0 tall. You played soccer at some point. The same isn't true for the men.
