i have to say though when marcel jacobs won in 2021 i was kinda dismissive of his 9.80, but that range is the new (old?) normal with 9.79 winning today. bolt just spoiled us.

Yeah anything between 9.7-9.8 is hella fast and would usually get you the Gold in any other era. BOLT season was a freak occurrence; having three sprinters run sub 9.7 is insane.
