The ACC had a chance about eight-ten years ago to really make a dent. Clemson and FSU were both good. Louisville was solid. Miami was decent. But the conference could never capitalize on its momentum.

Always a basketball first conference, didn't sign a good tv deal and now they are in the position they are in. Doesn't help that Miami, VT, Clemson and FSU haven't all been good at the same time in like the last 20 years.
There’s definitely a version of the 2010s that’s alot more favorable to the ACC, PAC 12 and even Big 12 than what we got. SEC and B10 maybe killed the sport (mainly SEC), but they do deserve some praise for being much more on the ball than esp the PAC, but also the other two.

I think ACC should’ve tried snatching up a Houston or UCF (would’ve got blocked by FSU prob) before anyone. Two G5 giants that had short term and long term growth.
