thats not my argument, sure smu and indiana still get in a 16 team playoff but not at the expense of better more deserving teams. at this point the debate is 12 vs 16, you cant look at the matchups if this was a 16 team field this year instead and say naw i prefer the 12 team model.
I’m pretty sure I heard the plan is after next year to up it to 16 teams and get rid of conference auto bids so then more SEC/B1G teams get in
