Its levels though. We see it all the time.

Sark - USC
Kiffin - USC
Tom Herman - Texas
Dobeor - Bama
Rich Rod - Michigan
Mullen - Florida

All were at places that paid great and they theoretically could have won it all at but its levels to the game.
Yea but that’s my point he could leave go to a bigger school and be just like these guys on the list or he can stay and be given a way longer leash. Rare are the guys like nick Kirby and now sark who can be consistent year in and year out at big schools

Having wealthy alum, and having wealthy alum that donate are different.

The State of TX has always had a culture built around this going back to the SWC days. Those big money execs want bragging rights and were/are willing to do whatever was needed to ensure their school was in the best position to win. Not only that but Texas is arguably the #1 football state from a fan interest as well as recruiting

Arizona is hella transplants...there's no State-Pride, rah rah we from AZ type of thing like there is in a place like TX. There's no live and die by football type of interest like there is in Texas, the South East, Midwest, etc.

Texas is like it's own country
True but it seems like Arizona state actually cares about football they’ve made efforts to actually be good. Also Texas is definitely #1 in recruiting and we are our own state this country should be blessed to have us

Wrong school no? Arizona state seems more like a football school the only basketball player I can think of from there is James harden. Arizona as a state has hella football talent btw.
