I was told expanding the playoffs would cut down on all the crying and whining yet there are still teams/coaches politicking for that 12th spot. Mainly SEC teams . I’m getting second hand embarrassment.

Nah, it's gonna go the other way.
Easy revenue, fans will tune into a "playoff game" even if neither team has a real chance to win the title.
