My favorite cfb story of the year.

Preston Stone? He lost the job to Jennings.

I was worried they were going to keep rolling w/ Stone b/c he's from that uppity part of North Dallas/SMU. But they went with the inner-city kid. Love it.

Not only that but both Stone parents are SMU Alumni and his dad big time booster, high school coach is director of recruiting now also, or was back then.. LOTS of ties to that program and was a TOP recruit coming out of high school who had offers from everybody (Texas, A&M, etc.) turned them down to go to family school. That move took BALLS from Lashlee at time..

If I'm Clemson i'd be mad as hell if I got froze out of the conf title game/chance at the playoffs with a 7-1 conference record because my conference didn't schedule me to play the top two ranked teams in conference.


Main issue with these big ass super conferences.

2000 Canes lost to Washington who lost to Oregon.
