they'll sell that team before that bill is due.
I've been seeing stuff like this and don't get it, there's no cap so it's not like deferrals get added to what they're allowed to spend each year. I mean there's luxury tax stuff but so what

Unless you're just talking about the bill itself. Even then it's like people don't know who/what owns the Dodgers & that the Dodgers TV deal alone is worth more than 31 NFL teams, 29 NBA teams and all MLB teams.

Make no mistake they know what they're doing lol

I understand why Sasaki will take time to sign.
And Soto is not in a rush because he is in control and nobody else's contract will set the market for him.

But a lot of these other guys better get that money quickly.

Walker Buehler is 30 years old.
Had 2 Tommy John surgeries.
Pitched just 75 innings this past season, and his strikeout rate was considerably down.

I don't blame the Dodgers for moving on from him. He is someone who would fit the back end of a rotation on a small market team -- preferably one that plays in a larger ballpark. And that's if teams still view him as a starting pitcher.

Put that guy in Detroit or Seattle.

I 100% expect Detroit to sign him. He will also be their biggest acquisition. :francis:

I wouldn't hate it, provided the Tigers didn't pay him something ridiculous like $20M per year.
As long as Walker Buehler can outperform Kenta Maeda (who fell off a cliff last year), I think he'd be fine.

What the hell do you think Shohei Ohtani is going to be in 3 years?
