it's that time, colleges officially started fall practice last week, scrimmages/exhibitions will be played in the upcoming weeks. This ithe most loaded men's basketball has been in the past few years with an influx of an elite HS class headlined by Flagg/Bailey/Edgecombe/Harper etc, borderline first round/2-way contract guys returning to school because the NIL money is better than what they could see in the league, and teams like BYU and Illinois paying big money for Euro imports to spurn money from Euroleague clubs. The women's side is loaded with star power at the top again with SC/UConn/USC/Notre Dame/UCLA.

Maui Invitational has 4 of the top 11 teams in the preseason top 25, crazy that they matched up Auburn and Iowa St right off the bat. Surprised Duke was ranked only 7th but that's probably correction after last season and voters taking a wait and see approach.

Duke needs multiple freshman, outside of Flagg, to produce at a high level so it’s hard to put them over some vet teams but I think they’ll be a top 5 team by the end of the season.

Watching UConn vs Rhode Island and UConn gonna have to learn to defend without Clingan, they got a month before it starts for real. Offense still looks pretty crisp as far as the sets outside of some sloppy turnovers
