Kills me that Diaz got hurt, but if his ACL blew because he celebrated, he could have just as easily blew it in ST walking off the mound. Or in the first few games celebrating a save. Using one freak example of an ACL tear to argue against teams letting their players play in the WBC doesn't make sense.

The wbc is a huge way to grow the sport world wide, i hope players still want to play next time around. Shame what happened to diaz though

the only countres that care are latin amercan and asian and the sport is huge there anyway, baseball never gonna be big in europe and its a farce anyway with americans just playing on teams over there like piazza whos from california.

shyt is not just diaz, none of the other injuries that happen every single time are freak injuries on celebrations

we dont even let these guys play every regular season game anymore for teams that actually pay them millions but we allow stars to get hurt in this dumb ass tournament that started yesterday?

how much is the game gonna grow when the best players are always hurt? and that happens without ths dumb tournament but having it in spring training when guys arent ready to play life or death games is the dumbest possible thing they could do
