Teams were willing to play ball, but I bet the Pacers offering price wasn't enough to entice them to do it.
Hey it’s not going to change until miller proves it in the league. Which hopefully he will for the hornets.

I think the asking price might’ve been unreasonable. Rockets GM said they called aggressively from 16-19 as well before Cam got to them. But you’re not wrong. If they REALLY wanted Cam they could’ve thrown in some stuff
What has Scoot Proven?
I don’t know if we ever seen a prospect hyped like with such little evidence of anything ever.
We see it every year. At this point. None of them have proven anything. Scoot is just one of those cats that have IT so people resonate towards his game compared to millers. Doesn’t mean they can’t both be productive but people view one as having the higher ceiling. And it ain’t miller.
He has “IT” based on what?
There’s legit disappointment he wasn’t picked for what reasons? What history does he have of being a “dog”, leader or can’t miss
People on this forum were calling him Russell Westbrook with a high BBIQ
Not to mention this nikka is 6’2”. There’s no such thing as a can’t miss prospect at that height

I don’t think people are saying he’s can’t miss. We are saying he has susperstar potential. I’m not going to sit up here and act like the dude is small because he’s 6’2. But yes it is a plus that miller is 6’9.
If you feel a collective disappointment that miller was taken over scoot. Well that just may be the overall feeling in regards to the decision. The team picked someone the fans and a lot of other teams wouldn’t have. But it’s a done deal now and it’s on B Miller to prove folks wrong and up to Scoot to show he should have been the pick. They are the same tier of prospect with scoot having a game that people just like seeing more and the dude has a more infectious personality (which is amongst his intangibles).
Also let’s be honest do the hornets have a history of making the correct draft selections? Mitch to me seems to do a great job with later picks but I’m not sure they have a history of taking the BPA. Low key the only reason they have Melo is because the warrior overthought themselves and took wiseman.

Miller has been the number 2 player on most drafts boards since December.
Where are you getting other teams would’ve drafted Scoot from?

It's based on him playing against NBA pros since he was 17 and playing really well

Miller had a decent half a season and then completely tanked when he played against any decent or winning teams.

Scoot has proven waaaaay more than Miller in terms of being able to compete against pros in an NBA style game
