Wisconsin doesn’t shock me, they found an identity, and have stuck to it, and it’s good enough to run through most teams, being in the west has helped a ton too, the only teams that were giving them a semblance of competition was Nebraska, and occasionally Iowa

I guess what’s surprising to me is that despite being the 8th most winningest program the last decade, Wisconsin has very little to show for it.

they won the conference 1 time during that time period. Haven’t won the rose bowl, their best season in that span was 13-1 in 2017 and they still finished 7th in the final polls.

just seems like they have nothing to show for this decade of winning besides beating up on trash B1G west teams, losing a bunch of rose bowls and ONE conf title.

I’m still salty at the conference’s short sightedness In not pursuing OU and Texas harder. They’d fit perfectly in the west and give Nebraska their OG rival back.

well that’s a lot of programs, it’s just the measuring stick is now national championship or bust, back in the day a rose bowl was the pinnacle, i mean shyt, when has Wisconsin been a powerhouse, that’s a good niche for them

I agree

I still think a Rose Bowl WIN still holds a lot of weight. UW has been to 4 RBs in the last 12 or so years and lost them all. Appearances in big games aren’t that impressive without the W. MSU appeared in the playoffs and got ran thru by Bama so that appearance is completely tarnished.

only to OSU is a RB win considered a “meh” season.
